Strangelove presents: DANSE MACABRE
3RD SATURDAYS AT JULIE'S SUPPER CLUB
Opening Night: Saturday, January 17th
with DJs Tomas Diablo and Melting Girl
Tomas Diablo and monthly guest DJs are returning to Julie's Supper Club every 3rd Saturday at DANSE MACABRE.
Julie's is the perfect place for a dark gathering. Up front in the beautiful deco lounge, you can sit at the bar or socialize in the candlelit dining area. The music from the dance room is piped through to the bar area at a lower level, so you won't have to scream to be heard. And we'll be showing some of our favorite movies up on the big-screen TV up by the bar.
On the spacious dancefloor in the second room, Tomas Diablo and an assortment of your favorite SF DJs will play the best goth and industrial. We DO take requests, through we'd prefer you write them down than pull us aside - we'll be working hard up there.
Julie's Supper Club is in the heart of San Francisco's SOMA district, on the corner of Folsom and 7th.

Tue, January 20, 2009 - 7:53 AMWow… what a way to start a new event! We had a great turn-out for the opening night of Danse Macabre, and it seemed that everyone had a lot of fun. There were a number of people who stopped me to thank me for putting the event together. There’s been a lot of talk recently about the SF goth scene dwindling, so people were very appreciative for a Saturday night goth event.
We also had a professional photographer come and take lots of photos – as soon as I receive copies and get them posted, I will let you all know through the usual avenues (tribe, MySpace, etc.).
Huge thanks to Melting Girl. Even though I never actually stated on the flyer what the specific genres were for Danse Macabre, she decided that it should be a strictly old-school goth event, and DJed accordingly. People loved it. Who knew she was such a purist at heart?
